A supposed haunted property in a southwestern Iowa town will be featured during a supernatural television show later this week. Malvern Manor, located in Malvern, Ia., about 30 miles southeast of Council Bluffs, will appear Friday night on TLC's "Paranormal Lockdown." The Omaha World-Herald reports that the site was built in the 1880s. It was known back then as the Cottage Hotel — the town’s first hotel, according to historical records. The 10,000-square-foot hotel has gone through a number of owners, the World-Herald said. In the 20th century, it was converted into a nursing home and later a group home. Current owner and paranormal investigator Josh Heard told the World-Herald that when he first entered the house a few years ago, the experience of being inside "blew me away."
